Lochlin Partners is dedicated to performing executive search assignments in a high touch, transparent fashion with a deep focus on relationships. The firm is also involved in related activities including executive assessment, coaching and board search.
Our principals have each been part of the executive search industry for well over two decades, in both small boutique environments as well as the largest firms. Our business model is structured around the following principles:
The primacy of relationship. We believe that the depth of the relationship, both with our clients and candidates, is far more important than any other element of the search business. Process, specialization and data are clearly necessary, but subordinate to the all important relationship factor.
Focus. Each of our principals concentrates on a handful of assignments at any given time and is personally involved in all aspects of the work.
Creativity, new ideas and imagination. Over-specialization in our industry has created a paint-by-numbers approach. It makes for a narrow, process driven approach, yielding
ordinary results. Instead, we believe in a broad, open-ended, creative process with lots of client interaction and plenty of room for course correction.
Communication. We believe that most of our communication should take place either in person or by phone. The reliance on over-done reports is a poor substitute for talking to clients and candidates on a regular basis.
Transparency. From our experience, we know that the clearer we are about the elements of our searches, the better they go and the better everyone feels when they are done.
Listening. There is no substitue for the ever-diminishing art of listening to what our clients and candidates tell us. Listening well is simply honoring our true role as interpreters of the needs of our clients and candidates.
